My “Easter Egg” Quilt

I  found a picture in a magazine of an “Easter Egg quilt” and I knew I had to try and replicate it. The quilt pattern is based on the traditional Trip Around the World pattern.  This is my attempt. I used all scraps from my stash (the best part).  The common element throughout the quilt is the yellow and pink borders around the squares.  I was able to piece the squares by machine but had to hand sew all the yellow and pink connecting squares. It is all hand quilted.  Kept my hands busy and it was great therapy for my mind as always…I think there are about 4,000 one inch squares that make up this quilt.
